Here at Appel Farms we make our cheese by hand in the cheeseroom. See our list of cheeses below.

The "cheeseroom"

Packing the curds is a team effort
We welcome visitors including tour groups. Small dairy farms are becoming rare and we hope to give one more generation an opportunity to see farming life with all its ups and downs. We invite you to see our cows, watch us making cheese by hand and experience the farm (we even supply realistic farm odor).
Visitors to our Summer Cheesefest

On a family farm, chores for the kids include moving irrigation pipes in the field, feeding calves, stocking shelves, putting stickers on cheese packages and as they get older, driving tractor and working at the farmer's market and in the cheese plant.

There is always work to do, but there's also always time for fishing, swimming in the pond and climbing hay bales!

We are open Monday through Saturday, 9am to 6pm.
